PROFILE OF SONNIE NWOSU AKA SANTADONE

My name is Sonnie Nwosu aka Santadone, journalist/artiste from Isiala Mbano in Imo State. Foremost entertainment writer based in Abuja, reggae performer with long term experience in show business and has other audio tracks like,"Love Nigeria", "Hard Drugs" "Patriotism" (Soca) etc. Inspired by great artistes around the world, using music as a means of spreading Jah message.

ADDENDUM:  Santadone is a conscious man of the highest order, and "Bless Nigeria" represents his deepest feelings for his father land over the years.

Born Sonnie Nwosu by parents from Isiala Mbano, Imo State, Santadone is a man about town imbued with multiplicity of interests and a voracious hunger for learning, making him a phenomenon indefinable that you cannot categorize, no matter how infinitesimally small you may think he is.
His journey into the music world began as a road manager with the "Eyes of Man" boggie band in Lagos in the 80s traversing the length and breath of Lagos State up to Idiroko, border town with Benin Republic as one of the hottest bands.

Reggae music introduced into Nigeria by the living legend Jimmy Cliff caught his fancy and and admiration captivating him to be involved in the weekly reggae groove at the Floating Bukka restaurant, Marina Lagos alongside Ras Kimono, Orits Willikie, Chukzy Moses, Blacky and a host of others in the late 80s.

In 1994, he and Ragga Dub Chapel, Wilmer Lagos ran reggae night every Friday at the Deroof nite club of Jabita Hotel Ikeja, Lagos pulling part of Fela's crowd from the shrine with electrifying performances.

As Nigeria finds itself at crossroads due to various happenings around the country, Santadone debuted with his first track "Bless Nigeria" for Jah's intervention in the Affairs of  the country, featuring anthem like arrangement, marching tempo and a melodious blending of music and message.

The then Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed directed the NTA and FRCN to air the song throughout the federation though without payment as his modest contribution to the entertainment industry.

Not resting on his oars, Santadone followed up with  other reggae songs namely, "Love Nigeria", "Hard Drugs", "Patriotism" (Soca) etc.

As a trained journalist and foremost entertainment writer, many musicians have featured in his pages in many newspapers and magazines at no cost attached.

He is a social crusader and reggae music dance performer with inspiration from Jamaican reggae artistes dancesteps.
